Like other CILB trades the license comes in two tiers — certified, which authorizes statewide work, and registered, which is limited to the local jurisdiction that issued the competency card. Plant-level production quality is often governed by separate industry certifications (such as PCI plant certification) that GCs may see referenced in the spec book on top of the DBPR license. Confirming a sub's active CILB license is basic bid-prep diligence.
